Living With Art | Dolby Chadwick Gallery
Dolby Chadwick Gallery was founded with a clear and unwavering vision: to advance artistic excellence by creating a community of artists and art lovers, and celebrating the free exchange of ideas. Since its inception in 1997, the gallery has built and supported an international roster of artists who create exceptional work that is articulate, visceral, and provocative.
For nearly three decades, the gallery has featured thousands of artworks across a range of traditional and hybrid mediums such as painting, sculpture, and photography, mounting over 300 artist exhibitions that maintain the consistent attention and acclaim of collectors and curatorial circles. In 2012, Dolby Chadwick Gallery collaborated with the de Young Museum in San Francisco on the occasion of Matter + Spirit, a 50-year retrospective of the late sculptor Stephen De Staebler.
Furthermore, the gallery has published award-winning, critically acclaimed art books and monographs including Stay Inspired (2021)—a book exploring the intersection of visual art and poetry which earned the IPPY award for Best Independently Published Poetry Book in the nation.
With her trademark tenacity and a boundless passion for the arts, coupled with talented artists, fervent supporters, and a dedicated team, Lisa Dolby Chadwick created the thriving and engaged organization that the gallery is today.
“My goal has always been to show art that causes a visceral reaction and opens a doorway into something else,” says Lisa Dolby Chadwick. “When art does that it elevates the lives of the people who get to experience it.”
